Easter weekend boardwalk

This Easter weekend my family came to visit me in the city! Since my sister Shannon is into photography, we decided to go take a few pictures along the boardwalk to enjoy the afternoon sunshine! She's only 15 and already such a talented photographer.  Here are some of the pics!...

I can't remember the last time we had a "proper Easter dinner." Instead, we usually just go out for brunch as a family. This year we went to Chez Tess Creperie!

First day of rehearsals was yesterday

Yesterday was my first day of rehearsals for the student film I've been cast in. It's so exciting being able to work with a cast for a longer period of time rather than just a day! I think it will be a life changing experience for me. We're going to be shooting most of the scenes outside the city, near my parents house, so I even get to go home for a night or two. I'll be posting pictures throughout the rehearsals and shooting process! In the meantime, I'm off to the market (my favorite place in the city)!! Have a great day everyone! :)

Interesting things are happening

Tomorrow, the university that I attend is going to decide to go on strike or not. There is already a bus strike in the city, and cab companies are thinking about it too. It puts a lot of stress on students when all these strikes are happening at once. So it should be interesting what happens. If they go on strike I might go take a mini vacation somewhere cool. I mean, what am I supposed to do in a city that doesn't have these things? I'll get too bored. But I'm also excited to go home and see my friends over my reading week. :)

I've also been cast in a student film! This will be my first time acting on the set of a film, instead of commercials. We're going to film the week after reading week which isn't very convenient, but I would never pass this opportunity. Acting is definitely something that I love to do, and whenever I get the chance to do it, I always get so excited! It doesn't feel like work either. In the past year I've been in a few commercials, which I will post below (the ones that are online). I'm hoping to get more jobs like this for the summer! It's so much fun.

Banff is one of my favorite places in the world. It's awesome, and you should definitely put it on your bucket list if you haven't been there yet. I used to go to Banff every summer when I was younger, but as time passes, it gets more difficult to get out there more often. I was fortunate enough to go this summer in August. We did lots of fun stuff, like hike Sulfur Mountain, shop around, visit Bow Falls, the Banff Springs Hotel, and Lake Louise. I also recommend going to the hot springs! If you're looking for a good restaurant, try Saltlik. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Bucket list

I've never put much thought into a bucket list for myself, so maybe it's about time. In the next few years, I'd really like to:
- go to an acting camp in New York City for a few years
- graduate university with an acting degree
- go back to England to visit old famjam and friends
- backpack Asia with my best friend, Gabby
- paint my room
- sky dive
- move somewhere neat
- to be cast in something awesome
- go to an Owl City, Jason Mraz, John Mayer, or RHCP concert
- go camping (I've never been...)

I'd say I'm off to a good start.
